Reveillez ridden by Millie Daveys The tall grey colt stepped excitedly onto the track. I sat upon his back and spoke to him softly, stroking down his neck. I set off in a walk, begining to warm him up as we waited for Rae and her yearling; Prime Motive's son, Motivator. Revel and I walked briskly up the center of the track quickly warming up. I pushed the colt into a forward going trot. He raised his head and pricked his ears and excitedly set off into a quick trot. I steadied him a bit and then he began to perform a nice trot. We completed a furlong in trot before Revel again pricked his ears and then let out a loud whinny at the sight of Rae and the new and unfamilliar colt that she was riding. I looked over and studdied the coltline carefully, he looked nice, he hadn't yet been raced though. I slowed Revel to a walk as the pair entered the track and then I walked Revel over to them, I halted him just a bit away. Hey Rae, looks good. I said hinting towards her colt. Motivator ridden by Rae Curiosity
Rae walked beside the black colt as he looked around. As they walked onto the dirt track, Rae felt the colt pull back. "Hey boy, it's gunna be ok. Your buddy is going to be here soon." Matty snorted, and walked on. Rae vaulted on gently, and gathered the reins, and spoke gently. "Walk on." They walked to the top of the home stretch, and turned around. Matty, wearing blue blinkers snorted and pricked his ears. "After three Matty, ok?" Matty nickered. "3...2...1..." Rae pushed the reins and tapped Matty with the whip. Immediately he started galloping. Rae stood up in the stirrups and niggled him along. Matty tossed his mane and galloped with his usual low head carriage as they crossed the line. Rae pulled on the reins, and the colt came to a slow canter, then a trot, before a walk. The she saw Millie and Revel. She gave them a wave. She listened to Millie after saying, "Hiya." Rae smiled. "Thanks. He certainly takes after his father body wise, and personality wise!" She laughed.

Reveillez ridden by Millie DaveysMillie gave a warm smile to what Rae said. Well, I don't know this guys parents but he's already one of my favourites, his personality is amazing. So what does you boy run, mines a sprinter. As the pair muttered away Millie pushed Revel into an imediate canter. Revel set off down the track beside Matty. I could see Revel keep glancing over, he had suddenly become quite competetive! Revel tossed his head and then quickened the pace. Millie allowed him to go a bit quicker but not too much. Whoa there boy. Revel had really settled down at Oak Hill, he knew he was at home. He was getting more and more confidence by the day. [/blockquote]

Motivator ridden by Rae Curiosity
Rae kept Matty stalking the leader. Matty's a sprinter too, ya' know? Matty cantered level with Revel. Can do up to 1m 4f. Matty pinned his ears. Millie, I think Matty wants to stop for a moment. This is his first gallop, and he's beginning to pant. Rae pulled Matty up, and brought him to a walk. He snorted, and was just beginning to sweat. It wasn't his fault. Easy. She patted him.

Reveillez ridden by Millie DaveysRae began to bring the coltline up level with us. I looked at the pair subtley. Good, so how about six furlongs? I asked. However before Rae could reply she anounced that she was resting Matty for a while as it was his first run. She pulled him up against the rail. I continued to canter Revel and then turned him back around, bringing him to a walk next to Rae and Matty. Okay, well when he's ready let us know. Millie smiled to Rae. The pair continued in a steady walk up the rail, giving the less experienced colt a chance to rest.

(motivator has now had two racers, placing 2nd and 3rd!)
Rae let him rest, then he suddenly had a burst of energy. We're ready.

Reveillez ridden by Millie Daveys Rae anounced that Matty was ready to run again. I squeezed Revel forwards into an imediate gallop. Revel soon set into a comfortable pace again, leading by just half a length. We galloped nicely and strongly down the straighline. Soon we passed the three furlong marker, and the half way point. Revel was still running good, so I decided to quicken the pace abit to test him.
