Destined For Glory ridden by Rosie Wilson
Rosie urged the young bay filly into a swift walk, down the center of the track. Destiny willingly did to and immediatly set off. Rosie and Desinty quietly completed one circuit of the track, warming up Destiny's delicate muscles. Rosie gave the dark bay a small kick and asked her for a nice working trot. Once again desinty agreed and set off down the turf with long graceful strides. Rosie posted to Desinty's strides all the way up the straight, the pair continued around the bend in trot. As soon as they exited the bend Rosie sat to the trot and gave a small kick; asking for canter. The young yearling set off into a quick, immature canter down the straight. Whooaa, whoaa. Rosie half halted the filly but kept her leg on, making the filly gather up her legs and begin in a more mature canter. There we go, that's better girly. Rosie smiled and sat deep in the saddle, slightly rocking with the motion of the canter. Right then, lets get going. Rosie leaned slightly foward and out of the saddle as she asked for gallop. Desinty instantly set off down the track. Rosie gurided her over to the inner rail and soon Desinty was hugging it tightly. She gave a snort, probably of enjoyment and then continued to run, head held high, down the track. Rosie just wanted to give her a light work, more like a warm up before Desinty's big debue! Rosie was so excited, infact the hole stable was buzzing. Reveillez would also be having his debue on the same day and the other yearling Beyond Expectations would be racing too perhaps for her second win. Even Destiny seemed to be quite excited, though Rosie didn't actually know if Destiny knew or not. Rosie pushed Desinty quicker after gallping one furlong. She would push her a little for another half a furlong and then cool her off. Rosie crouched in the saddle, urging Destiny quicker and then gave he a light tap with the crop. Destiny responded to each aid of her rider and respectfully did as she was asked. She began getting faster, picking up great speed for her age. They flew past the marker which marked another half a furlong had gone by, so Rosie brought the filly down into a canter, begining to cool her off. She sat to her canter for a while, thinking that she was excited, nevous and confident for the upcoming race all at the same time. Rosie pulled back on the reins bringing Destiny to a trot and then a walk. Rosie let Destiny take a long rein. She walked her around the track quietly a few times and brought her to a halt. Rosie patted the filly rewardingly on the neck and then dismounted. Well down girly. Rosie spoke softly to the filly and then led her off the track to rest for her upcoming race in her stall.
