smarty's dream ridden by millie daveys
i urged sweetie on into a brisk walk down the inner rail. we waited for the other two riders and horses who would be joining us today. sweetie was warmed-up, i began bending her around my inner then outer leg. when i was sure she was ready i pushed sweetie into a trot and worked her down the rail. then i pushed her quicker, sweetie gave a flick of her tail and bucked into canter. i gave her a small tug, disciplining her for bucking. i sat deep in the saddle and held the canter for two furlongs, before bringing her back down to a trot and then walk; as i saw some others entering the track.

lilo let out a little buck playfully and trotted out onto the track. rae waved to millie as the lively energetic young filly began to canter. rae stood up in her stirrups and cantered over. hey. i'd like you to finally meet lifeless. call her lilo for short. this filly has really developed over the weeks. rae looked at the filly's small scar on her neck. it was like a centimetre long. i found this filly as a two month old foal. tethered with a dead mother beside. rae shed a tear. i still cant believe this is her now. rae smiled reassuringly. lilo gave a rear of excitement, watching the other horse enter.

Just My Luck ridden by Logan Ramblem
Parking the truck and trailer combo, Logan jumped out eagerly, unloading Lucky in a flash - she wasn't quite late, but she wanted to get the relaxed stallion used to the property before the trio would do their workout. Brushing back locks of her brown hair, Logan tacked Lucky up and clipped her helmet on before using her trailer as a mounting block. The fifteen two hand stallion strode out onto the dirt track with ease, used to the process of moving to new places and remaining a gentleman. Stroking the stallion's warm neck affectionately, Logan pushed Lucky into a trot, allowing him to stretch his neck out. On the far side of the track, Logan could make out the figure of another rider exercising a bay horse; Logan nodded to herself and smiled, then circled Lucky, pleased that the stallion didn't seem at all fazed by being in a completely new enviroment. The female posted easily on her sweet little chestnut horse, making a full lap around the track before pressing her legs to Lucky's warm barrel. The horse responded by jumping into a cool canter, flexing his head down and exhaling a soft snort. Logan stood in her stirrups, firmly gripping the reins. After a few furlongs had passed, the brown haired female brought her horse down to a walk, letting the reins slip through her fingers. She glanced up, waving to the other riders, who'd also allowed their horse to walk out. "Hey, I'm Logan Ramblem, and this is Just My Luck." Logan grinned, walking Lucky slightly off to the side of the two riders, just in case one proved to be a little wary of the stallion's company.

lilo turned her head to face the stallion. at that moment, rae turned her head to see the lovely bay stallion. hiya logan, nice to meet you. i'm rae curiosity, this is lifeless, aka lilo. lilo nuzzled lucky and snorted happily pricking her ears and slobbering on her bit. someone looks happy. rae laughed.

Logan smiled at the girl who spoke first. She was riding a chestnut filly who strikingly resembled Lucky, if not for the tall blaze that she had, where as Lucky was a solid chestnut. Millie replied back, and Logan smiled at her, nodding. "Thanks, so does Sweetie and Lilo." Logan replied, reaching back to scratch Lucky's flanks. Logan fell quiet as Lilo nuzzled Lucky, laughing softly as the stallion released a whuffling nicker, nudging the chestnut filly back. "You guys ready to get started?" Logan mentioned, glancing out at the dirt track before them. She legged Lucky forward into a brighter walk, gathering up her reins and preparing for the seven furlong sprint between the three horses.

smarty's dream ridden by millie daveysi held the bay filly slightly back from the other horses as she could be a bit frisky at times. i turned her 180 degreed and lined her up with the other horses and riders. sweetie figited under me as we waited for the sieren to go for the start of the race. i spotted a figure climbing up the stairs to start the race. 3, i corrected my position. 2, i shortened up my reins. 1, i looked up. go! the sieren sounded, i dug my heals into sweetie's sides. she shot off into an immediate gallop. i wrestled her for the bit as she rose her head high up. after a while i gained full control again and i nudged her towards the inner rail. finally we settled behind the front runner; nicely stalking them as sweetie liked to.
ooc|: u used randomizer to determin the winner of the race. 1=sweete, 2=lilo and 3=lucky. the results came out as 1, 3, 2. so it's sweetie, lucky and then lilo. [/blockquote]

Just My Luck ridden by Logan Ramblem
Logan took one last look at the two riders and brought Lucky to a halt, backing him up to bring him in line with the other horses, and it was then that she really appreciated the colt's cool nature. He remained still as Logan shifted into position, her upper body layed close to the chestnut's neck. At the rining siren, Logan smooched to her steed, fingers locked in his copper hued mane. The stallion charged off, and with dismay, Millie and her mare dropped back. She was obviously a closer, as was Lucky. She sat up slightly, trying to ease the stallion into a slower pace; despite the short distance, she didn't want Lucky to tire. His hooves pounded over the dirt as they strode along, Logan sitting against Lucky, slowing his free stride.
(aw, it's cute!)

smarty's dream ridden by millie daveys i sat sweetie comfortably against the rail at a nice speed and position that she was happy with. i slackened off my grip on the reins as we passed one furlong, allowing sweetie to easy back a bit and settle into an easy rhythm. i would allow her to do this until four furlongs where i would pick up the speed, and then at five fulongs ask sweetie to run. we took the bend smoothly, sweetie did well with her balance and speed. good girl. i told her, as i stroked her neck but kept hold of the reins still. we came round to the final straight. i urged sweetie on into an emence gallop! she sped down the track, eventually finishing one length infront of lucky and lilo behind.
well done! good girl. i patted sweetie's neck and breezed her along side lucky.

Just My Luck ridden by Logan Ramblem
Logan remained cool upon Lucky's broad back as he charged forward, unsure at the fact that no horses were in front of him. His pace quickened, and Logan had to steady him back until he had returned to his energetic stride. By then, they were swinging around the final turn and had entered the stretch. Logan's eyes narrowed, seeing Sweetie and Millie charge ahead; Rae and Lilo were no where to be found. Logan dropped her hands, creating a slight amount of slack in the reins and clucked to Lucky, feeling him throw his heart out and try to catch Sweetie. His strides became flat and stretched out, but as the wire passed, Logan and Lucky were a mere length behind the bay filly. She couldn't be dismayed about that. She stood in her stirrups, stroking Lucky's neck softly, grinning. "Good job, boy. You did good." Logan's eyes lifted as the bay filly fell into line with Lucky, and Logan urged him forward, keeping pace with Sweetie. Grinning, she called out to Millie, "Great job! She was flying!" Logan began to gradually slow Lucky's flat stride, making him rounder and dropping him down to a slow, working canter. She was pleased that he wasn't sweating, and his breathing rate sounded clear and slow. The colt then dropped to a walk, and the pair watched as Rae and Millie continued their workout.

smarty's dream ridden by millie daveys i slowed sweetie gradually to a halt. eventually rae and lilo passed us and i turned sweetie back to logan and lucky. i smiled. well done. i said before continuing to walk sweetie up the track. finally when sweeite was cooled down i brought her to a halt and dismounted on the track. i led her off and held her at the side of the track waiting for the others. when they came i would walk back to the stables where i would put sweetie back and wave off the other two.
