Personality: Areto is a lively filly who has passion to burn and a constant desire to be in the spotlight. She is a spirited little filly whether it be when she is being led to and from the paddock or when she is out on the practice track. She has a lot of energy and most of the time she burns this off by continuously galloping around the paddock. She’s always creating a cheeky stir in the field by winding the others up. Whether it be by nipping the others and then running off or just galloping around constantly. There is always a buzz around this filly. Areto has a great presence, the air of a winner. Whether it is her champion bloodlines, the expectations she was born with, her lovable personality or something special which she possesses herself, it is unknown what, but there is definitely something about her. She likes to show off, as if she knows she’s special. She prances down the track with grace, but runs with meaning and purpose. Areto is one of the most focused horses Oak Hill has ever seen, the staff are all extremely excited to see what this filly possesses come race day! She is a lovable filly, she is never nasty or sorry, she is just always excited and ready to go. She is sweet and kind, though sometimes she doesn’t realise her size and gets on top of people and throws her lanky legs around. Areto is easily bored and always likes something to do or she will start kicking at her door and creating a racket. She has uncountable items and toys in her stable to distract her, from salt licks to treat balls. The only time she stands still is when she is being groomed. She loves it! Whenever Areto turns up to a race, you can guarantee she will look immaculate. It calms her before the race and just makes her stand quietly, for once!

With the likes of Impressario, Dare To Dream, Bank On Silver, Merry Bay King and Prancing In The Darkness, Areto has some real solid traditional lines. With both parents being inducted into the Hall Of Fame and both of her sire’s parents also being inducted there are high hopes for Areto. Both parent and all but one grandparent were accomplished grade one race horses, all well known for their exceptional talent and amazing racing. So, when it comes to blood, Areto has it all! Going off her lines, she should make an amazing filly and race horse. Oak Hill have high hopes for Areto to make one of the best race horses they have ever seen! Areto’s sire, Impressario, won Y5 Prospect of the Year, Y6 Colt of the year, Best 2YO Colt, Best Grade Two, Y7 Racehorse of the Year, Best Dirt Horse, Best Grade One, Y8 Colt of the Year, Best Older Horse, Y9 Racehorse of the Year and was inducted in to the Hall Of Fame. There was nothing this horse had missing, he was pure talent and passion. Impressario’s current racing are already proving themselves on the track, such as Ventura and Italian Ice who have already broken in to grade four in the 2yo season and never placed out of the top three and also Born To Impress who is also in the 2yo season, only one win away from grade four and also never placed out of the top three. Impress The Moonlight and Pandora will be rivalling Areto on the track. Areto’s dam, Dare To Dream, was also a strong race horse. She won and Encouragement Award in Y9 and was inducted into the Hall Of Fame at the end of her racing career. She won many major races throughout her five years of racing such as: Breeder’s Cup Marathon, Winter Cup x2, Queen Cup, Dubai World Cup, Unicorn Horn Fillies and placed in many other major races. RACING
Racing Style: Areto breaks out of the gate and settles mid pack. She likes to run within the main group for the first stages of the race. It really excites her and gets her in the racing spirit, asif she needed any more enthusiasm than before. She gradually targets each horse in front of her and picks them off one at a time. She moves quickly up the line and really does have a talent. She sees each other horse as a challenge and takes them on with all she has. By the closing furlongs she is up with the front runners. She takes them all on with everything she has. She never seems to tire in the final moments, she gives everything she has to beat them all to the post and grab the win.
