Kiss The True Heart && Millie Daveys
The dark brown filly pranced happily up to the gates, as the sun glared in her and her riders eyes. Millie loaded Kiss, she loaded well and was calm. The bell rang and Kiss flew out of the gates. She galloped towards the rail and rang along side it. The ringing still rang in Millie's ears.[/size]
Millie twisted her hands into the filly's almost black mane as it flicked around in the wind. Kiss was really flying today, she thundered along the straight, only the sound of hoof beats and snorting could be heard. Kiss's speed increased as they galloped further. Their addrenalin was pumping now. Millie looked down to see that her hands had untangled themselves and she was now just holding onto the reins and moving with the flow of the horse, instead of trying to go with her own.
Kiss was now in a nice rhythm as they approched the first corner, she kept tight into the rail and barely slowed, if she kept up this pace, it could be a personal best for her. She took the corner well and continued down the flat, her hooves pounding the wet dirt as it flicked up onto them.
She held herself well down the back straight, quickening her pace slightly and lowering her head, as Millie lowered her position. The pair steemed towards the final corner, the filly leaned slightly and took the corner great.
Finally the home straight. Kiss really lowered her head now, and quickened her pace, Millie lowered her position with Kiss and flowed with her rhythm. Millie's hands moved up the filly's neck as they galloped down the dirt. Millie tapped her slightly with her crop and Kiss thundered towards the finish line. Paces away, Kiss galloped along still holding her pace. Kiss crossed the finish line in true winners style.
Millie pulled the young filly to a gradual halt, and gave her a big pat. "I think you deserve a few carrots." Millie laughed. Millie looked at the timer, it was a sure winning time.
